A gathering to honor and share memories for family and friends of Jay Genrich, who died unexpectedly Saturday, March 7, 2009, will be held on Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Iverson Park in the lodge/shelter at the base of Jefferson Street.
An informal service is scheduled at 2 p.m.
Mr. Genrich was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Wausau, a son of the late Ewald and Gertrude (Jaeger) Genrich.
He had been an alcohol and other drug abuse (A.O.D.A.) counselor for Portage County and Waushara County.
Survivors include his wife, Julie, Stevens Point; two daughters, Erin Genrich, New Orleans, La., and Meredith (Craig Mertes) Genrich, Milwaukee; one brother, Pete, Milwaukee; and one sister, Jennifer Genrich, Apache Junction, Ariz.
He was also preceded in death by one brother.
