| Joan M. Williams Joan M. Williams, 81, Wausau, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at Marywood Convalescent Center in Wausau. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Wausau, with the Rev. Robert Thorn officiating. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau. Visitation will be at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. There will be a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.petersonkraemer.com. Mrs. Williams was born May 7, 1928, in Antigo, a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Stockheimer) Wittman. She was married to Karl V. Williams on Sept. 21, 1950, in Wausau. She was a longtime member of the Wausau Bird Club. Survivors include her husband, Wausau, one son, Kurt A. (Carolyn), Madison; one daughter, Susan M. (Shadler) Schlicht, Stevens Point; and three grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lois A. Wittman. |
