Wanda M. Stark, 75, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at St. Michael's Hospital after a five-year battle with various illnesses.
A celebration of her life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Plover-Shuda Family Funeral Home in Plover. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in California.

Mrs. Stark was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Dinuba, Calif., a daughter of the late Andrew and Pansy (Taney) Schinkel.
She worked for many years as a nurse's aide before retiring.
She moved to the Stevens Point area eight years ago to be with her son.
Survivors include two sons, John Boatman, San Francisco, Calif., and Johnny Stark (Richard Frausto), Stevens Point; one daughter, Linda Schinkel, Sanger, Calif.; one niece, Gwen (David) Harris, Stevens Point; and relatives in Stevens Point and California.
