| Isabelle B. Lawrence Isabelle B. Lawrence, 88, Waupaca, formerly of Amherst, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Amherst Cemetery near Amherst. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service. Memorials can be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst in her name. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Lawrence was born July 3, 1920, in the town of Lanark in Portage County, a daughter of the late Carl and Merle (Wilson) Schultz. She was married to William C. Lawrence on Oct. 24, 1938, in the town of Lanark. He died on April 4, 1985. She had been a homemaker for most of her adult life. She had also been employed as a sales clerk for various businesses. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Amherst. Survivors include one son, William R. (Karen), Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Margaret A. (Sanford) Cook, Madison; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, LaVerne; and one brother, Roger Schultz. |
