| Eleanore I. Galien Eleanore I. Galien, 82, Almond, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waupaca where she was a resident. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Almond, with Vicar Brian Roehrborn officiating. Interment will be in the Almond Village Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A memorial has been established in her name. Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Galien was born April 9, 1927, in the town of Amherst, a daughter of the late William and Dora (Rosin) Vogt. She was married to Gerald Jean Galien on Oct. 16, 1948. He died on July 30, 1995. She had been a bus driver for the Almond-Bancroft School System during most of her working life. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Almond. Survivors include two sons, Michael, Almond, and Mark (Carla), O'Fallon, Ill.; one brother, William (Virginia) Vogt, Plover; and one sister, Dorothy O'Keefe, Almond. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lillian. |
