Elizabeth M. "Betty" Gagas, 69, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at the Portage County Health Care Center while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Al Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mrs. Gagas was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Ervin and Theresa (Lewandowski) Woyak.
She was married to Anton "Tony" Gagas on Feb. 6, 1960, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
After the marriage they settled in Stevens Point.
She was a homemaker and cared for her son, Anton Jr., until his death on Jan. 20, 1977.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Christine Gagas-Betro, Stevens Point; one brother, Greg (Janice) Woyak, Plover; and three grandchildren, Nathan Betro, Angelica "Jelly" Hope and Dylan Hope.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
