| Evelyn Chilla Evelyn Chilla, 86, Stevens Point, formerly of Milwaukee, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at St. Michael's Hospital after a long battle with cancer. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. George T. officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass. Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. Mrs. Chilla was born Sept. 5, 1922, in Bevent in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Grulkowski) Gabor. She was married to Chester Chilla on Aug. 21, 1946, in Milwaukee. She worked as a sales clerk for Marshall Field in Milwaukee for many years before her retirement. Survivors include her husband, Stevens Point; one son, Brian (Gae), Alpharetta, Ga.; one daughter, Judy (Jerry) Zblewski, Amherst Junction; two brothers, Edwin (Mary) Gabor, Bevent, and Wallace (Mary) Gabor, Illinois; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Mark; six brothers; three sisters; and two grandsons. |
