| Ceil M. Billmeyer Ceil M. Billmeyer, 97, Menomonie, a former Stevens Point resident, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Country Terrace in Menomonie. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Wisconsin Rapids. Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Menomonie is serving the family. Condolences may be offered online at www.rhielfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Billmeyer was born July 17, 1911, in Wisconsin Rapids, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Weber) Jagodzinske. When she was 5, her family moved to Stevens Point, where she attended schools, including the Stevens Point Business College. She served as a deputy register of deeds for Portage County until her marriage. She was married to Paul Billmeyer on July 31, 1934. He died in 1970. They moved to Wisconsin Rapids after the marriage. She was a member of many organizations, including Catholic Daughters of America, and the Christian Women's Club, where she served as president at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She organized square dancing clubs, taught rosemaling at Mid-State Technical College and at the North Central Technical Institute in Wausau. She was also an interior decorator at Johnson Hill's Department Store, retiring in 1990. She was married to Victor Billmeyer in 1990. He died in 2000. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, Leon (Nancy), Appleton; one daughter, Arlene Billmeyer, Menomonie; two grandsons, Jay Billmeyer, Neenah, and Tod Billmeyer, Kimberly; and three great-grandsons. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Agnes Yaeger, Florence Yaeger, Marie Rowe and Helen Hanson; and one brother, Leonard Jinske. |
