Martha M. Bestul
Martha M. (Druar) Bestul, 89, Racine, formerly of Rosholt and Plover, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wittenberg,
with the Rev. Herb Zoromski officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Wittenberg.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.
Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Barry-Bestul Endowment Fund, c/o St. Bernard
Parish, 2040 Hillside Lane, Green Bay, WI 54302.
Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home in Racine assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Bestul was born May 9, 1920, in Mount Carmel, N.D., a daughter of the late Michael and Balbina (Koehmstedt)
Druar.
She was married to Harold G. Bestul on April 27, 1949, at St. Mark Catholic Church in St. Paul, Minn. He died on
Jan. 28, 2004.
They owned and operated a family dairy farm for numerous years until their retirement.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway and St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover.
Survivors include seven sons, Gregory (Phyllis), Campbellsport, Terrance (Sharon), Chippewa Falls, Stephen (Maria),
Mosinee, Christopher (Cindy), Cleveland, Wis., Randolph (Sharon), Eau Claire, Thomas (Angie), Fond du Lac, and
Michael (Susan), Racine; two daughters, LuAnn (Gene) Mueller, Hales Corners, and Laurie (Mark) Lanoue, Sterling
Heights, Mich.; one brother, Sylvester (Rosemary) Druar of St. Paul, Minn.; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
She was also preceded in death by one son, the Rev. David Bestul; three brothers; and six sisters. |
