Troy T. Rogers

Troy Thomas Rogers, 42, Madison, a Wisconsin Rapids native and half-brother of a Stevens Point woman, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Madison as a result of a motorcycle crash.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Revs. Nelson Graham and Chester Osowski officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services.

Memorials in lieu of flowers can be designated in his name to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.

Mr. Rogers was born Nov. 12, 1965, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of Thomas E. Rogers and Patricia (Barton) Lovesee. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1983.

He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonee in 1988.

He was recently employed by Weir Metals in Madison.

He was married to Catherine Chou. They later divorced.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Tamme (Jacob) Bielmeier, Wisconsin Rapids; three half-brothers, Bruce (Pam) Lovesee and Brian (Kathy) Lovesee, both of Wisconsin Rapids, and Randy Lovesee, Appleton; two half-sisters, Renee Lovesee, Wisconsin Rapids, and Rhonda (Jeff) Sadlemyer, Stevens Point; and a special friend, Gail Hostvedt.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and John Rogers and Ida Mae and Francis Barton.
