Jerome N. Kedrowski

Jerome N. Kedrowski, 55, Fond du Lac, a Stevens Point native, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 4, 2008, of a brain aneurysm at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. His organs and tissues were donated to the University of Wisconsin Organ Procurement Organization.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover, with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. Private burial with immediate family will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Stevens Point.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday.

A memorial in his name will be established at a later date in lieu of flowers.

Mr. Kedrowski was born June 12, 1952, in Stevens Point, a son of Neufrey Kedrowski and the late Jeanette (Dombrowski) Kedrowski. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1970.

He received a technical degree from Mid-State Technical College.

His service in the U.S. Army began on May 7, 1986, and continued until his retirement from the U.S. Army Reserve on May 13, 2006, as a staff sergeant, having served in Germany and Korea. He earned the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, two Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon and the Army Service Ribbon.

He was employed as a bindery operator at QuadGraphics in Lomira since 1996. His previous employers were the Worth Co. and Sentry Insurance of Stevens Point.

He participated in various baseball, bowling and pool leagues when he was younger.

Survivors include his father, Stevens Point; one brother, Norman (Jill), Lindsay, Calif.; five sisters, Kathleen (John) Leum, Montgomery, Ill., Lucille (Tom) Smith, Plover, Susan (Llewellyn) Couch, Atlanta, Ga., and Debra Kedrowski and Jennifer (Dave) Thompson, both of Stevens Point; 14 nieces and nephews; and 11 grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Laura Kedrowski and Frank and Dora Dombrowski.
