Helga L. Andersen, 89, Whiting, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at St. Michael's Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, with the Rev. Andrew Hinwood officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
A time for sharing memories will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point.

Miss Anderson was born March 25, 1919, in Owen, a daughter of the late Sam and Katherine (Jacobsen) Andersen. She grew up there, attended the local schools and graduated from high school in Owen.
She later attended the University of Minnesota to become a nurse.
She worked for Hansen Office Supply for a time as a store keeper and later at Badger Shooter in the Owen area. She then helped her brother Einer set up and run Andersen Office Supply in Mauston. Later in life, she worked for the Clark County Health Care Center as a bookkeeper for more than 11 years.
She also cared for her parents when they became ill.
She was an active member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee and worked on several committees. She was a member of the parish choir. She later attended Trinity Lutheran Church when she moved to the Stevens Point area.
Survivors include one sister, Agnes Jones, Stevens Point; and four nephews, Jim (Katie Lawlar) Jones, Jim (Julie) Andersen, Bob (Claudia) Andersen and Gary (Lori) Andersen.
She was also preceded in death one brother, Einer Andersen.
