| Marie F. Zakrzewski Marie F. Zakrzewski, 98, 1240 Fifth Ave., Stevens Point, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Stevens Point Care Center in Whiting. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin C. Louis officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass. St. Peter's Rosary Society will lead the rosary to be prayed at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Faustina Room. Mrs. Zakrzewski was born Jan. 26, 1910, in the town of Carson (Mill Creek), a daughter of the late William and Katherine (Olszewski) Lubinski. She attended Green Meadow School in Mill Creek. She was married to Max Zakrzewski on June 9, 1931, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died on May 6, 1983. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Peter's Rosary Society Rose 3 for more than 76 years, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 567 and a charter member of the local chapter of the Polish Women's Alliance. Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Jane), Wisconsin Rapids, and Norman, Stevens Point; one daughter, Maxine (James) Mayek, Stevens Point; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and eight great-stepgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Ted, Joseph, Edward, John and Stanley Lubinski; and one sister, Eva. |
