Theresa A. Wroblewski

Theresa A. Wroblewski, 86, formerly of Shawano, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at North Haven Assisted Living Center in Stevens Point, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, with the Rev. George Thayikuzhottu officiating. Entombment will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery and Mausoleum in Shawano.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at

Mrs. Wroblewski was born Aug. 10, 1921, in the town of Sharon, a daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette (Osowski) Wierzba Sr. She attended local schools in the town of Sharon.

She was married to Albin Wroblewski on Nov. 15, 1941 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.

After their marriage the couple moved to Milwaukee where she worked at a glass factory and later was a floor inspector for Briggs and Stratton Corp., retiring Aug. 1, 1985.

After retirement they moved to a home on Shawano Lake.

She was active as a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil.

During the last three years, she resided at North Haven Assisted Living.

Survivors include one brother, Michael (Dolores) Wierzba, Stevens Point; one sister, Regina Laska, Stevens Point; three sisters-in-law, Jean Damask, Custer, Agnes Wierzba, Schofield, and Lucille Wierzba, Rosholt; and her caregiver nieces and nephews, Larry and Eunice Zywicki, Barbara (Robert) Groholski, Doris Wierzba and Marie Laska.
