| Isabelle Jacowski Isabelle Jacowski, 97, Amherst, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Care Partners Assisted Living in Stevens Point while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark. Visitation will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers to the Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services of Stevens Point and to the St. James Catholic Church Building Fund. Mrs. Jacowski was born March 23, 1911, in the town of Stockton, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Dulske) Tetzloff and was raised in the town of Stockton. She was married to Valentine Jacowski on Aug. 23, 1933, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in the town of Lanark. He died on May 1, 1963. They resided on the Jacowski family farm in the town of Lanark until October 1957 when they moved to Milwaukee. She continued with part-time jobs as a clerk in various stores. She then became a "live-in" companion for elderly ladies, before moving into a Senior Complex in Greenbrook, where she was the activity director for 15 years. Around the age of 85, she moved back to Hillcrest Manor in Amherst before entering various assisted living facilities in the area. She was a 4-H leader for 10 years, a church organist for 35 years, a Stanley Home Products dealer for 25 years, and was active in the many churches she was a member of. She made crafts, including identical crafts for approximately 40 family members for Christmas for 15 years and an afghan for each grandchild. Survivors include one son, Greg (Anita), Amherst; two daughters, Barb (Jim) Myszkowski, Franklin, and Sandy (Len) Stuczynski, Amherst; four brothers, Ray (Cel) Tetzloff, Oshkosh, Edwin (Agnes) Tetzloff, Plover, Lloyd (Elaine) Tetzloff, Wisconsin Rapids, and Maynard (Rose) Tetzloff, Stevens Point; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerome, one infant daughter, Valerie; three brothers, Sylvester, Rufus and Henry Tetzloff; and three sisters, Selma Bochinski, Florence Schroeder and Marge Trzebiatowski. |
