Dolores F. Hoffman

Dolores F. (Arnott) Hoffman, 78, Wisconsin Rapids, mother of a Stevens Point man and a direct descendent of Charles Langlade, the "Father of Wisconsin," died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.

Private family services will be held. Her final resting place will be with friends and family in Rhinelander.

Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is handling all arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Hoffman was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Rhinelander, a daughter of the late Cecil and Louise (Myers) Arnott and a member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.

She was married to Raymond Hoffman on Oct. 31, 1949, in Rhinelander.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Michael (Karen), Stevens Point; one daughter, Virgean (Dale) Ostrand, Sturgeon Bay; one stepdaughter, Myra Ehlers, Tomah; one sister, Raeburn (Ray) Peterson, Illinois; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, LaVern Arnott.
