Romona M. Dombrowski

Romona M. Dombrowski, 80, 8755 Rolling Hills Road, town of Stockton, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at her home while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established in her name for both Ministry Health Care-Hospice Services and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Dombrowski was born Sept. 12, 1927, in the town of Hull, a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Losinski) Firkus Sr. She attended local schools.

She was married to Nick Dombrowski on Sept. 6, 1943, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He died in 1982.

The couple farmed in the town of Stockton.

She was a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis and the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.

Survivors include four sons, William (Diane), David (Karen), Darol (Joyce) and Duane (Ann-Marie); six daughters, Diane (John) Pacocha, Darlene (Jim) Jakusz, Doris (Jim) Fisher, Donna Dombrowski, Dorothy (Roy) O'Neill and Debra (Andy) Skupien; two brothers, Ambrose Firkus and Martin (Eleanor) Firkus; one sister, Lucille (Art) Wysocki; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Angeline; seven brothers; and three sisters.
