Agnes J. Donermeyer

Agnes J. Donermeyer, 90, formerly of Stevens Point, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, at St. John's on the Lake Nursing Home in Milwaukee.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be in the Gathering Space at the church from 10:30 a.m. Monday until the services.

A memorial will be established in her name for Catholic Charities or a charity of one's choice in lieu of flowers.

A Memorial Mass will be scheduled for her at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee at a later date.

The Shuda Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.

Ms. Donermeyer was born Jan. 21, 1915, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Lang) Donermeyer. She attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1932.

She graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac and later from Marquette University in Milwaukee.

She served in the Nurse Corps during World War II.

She retired from the city of Milwaukee Health Department as a public health nurse.

She was a member of the Jane Delano Post 408 in Milwaukee.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Mary Ann (Larry) Welp, Juneau, Alaska; Donald Donermeyer, Springfield, Mass.; Carol (Erv) Sommers, Plover; Thomas (Mary) Donermeyer, Auburn, Wash.; Kitty (Tom) Schuler, Greendale; Mary (Dr. Michael) Stevens, Marshfield; Mary Knudsen, Oshkosh; Henry Faust, Glendale; and Dr. Michael Faust, Milwaukee.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Donermeyer; and eight sisters, Mary, Florence, Helen, Dorothy and Kathryn Donermeyer, Margaret (Henry) Bannach, Eva (Lawrence) Beier and Louise (Conrad) Faust.
