Marian G. Kinney Marian G. Kinney, 82, Stevens Point, the mother of actress Kathy Kinney, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at the Portage County Health Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger McAbee officiating. Burial will be later in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the services. A memorial has been established in her name for the Portage County Health Care Center for its Comfort Cart in lieu of flowers. Mrs. Kinney was born March 16, 1919, in Des Moines, Ill., a daughter of the late Walter and Ida (Marsh) Gray. She grew up and attended schools in Sleepy Eye, Minn. She was married to Harold Kinney on Oct. 19, 1940, in Stevens Point. He died March 19, 1970. After the marriage they moved to Stevens Point. She later worked for Weber Plastic Co., retiring in 1980. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Kinney, Los Angeles, Calif.; and one foster son, David (Sandra) Schude, Stevens Point.
