Tobin J. Yonash
Tobin J. Yonash, 38, LeClaire, Iowa, a Stevens Point native, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center
in Davenport, Iowa, of ocular melanoma of the retina.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at New Life Community Church in LeClaire, Iowa. Inurnment will be in St.
Stephen Cemetery in Stevens Point at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Heesch Funeral Home in LeClaire, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Mr. Yonash was born Jan. 23, 1963, in Stevens Point, a son of Honora (McLoughlin) Yonash and the late Thomas Yonash.
The family moved to Fort Atkinson and he was active in Boy Scouts, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated
from Fort Atkinson High School in 1981.
He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in July 1981 and was honorably discharged in July 1987 with the rank of corporal.
He received an associate degree in applied robotic science from Mid-State Technical College in May 1993. He earned
a degree in laser science from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau and was employed as a laser engineer.
He was married to Mindy Walters.
He was a member of Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities in Davenport, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Maxwell, at home; one stepdaughter, Taylor Hutchins, at home; his mother,
Iola; five brothers, Tim (Lori), Stevens Point, Terance (Donna), Wausau, Maj. Teagan (Connie), Pensacola, Fla.,
Tyrone, Iola, and Trevor, Scandinavia; and two sisters, Shauna (Richard) Radunzel, Janesville, and Sharyl (Jeff)
Peterson, Iola.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shiela and Sharon Yonash, and one brother, Tedman. |
