Ann Sophia (Phelan) Janssen

Ann Sophia (Phelan) Janssen, 71, De Pere, a Stevens Point native, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere. Inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in De Pere.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Cotter Funeral Home in De Pere is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Janssen was born April 2, 1930, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Francis and Sophia (Pasternacki) Phelan.

She was married to Jay J. Janssen on Dec. 26, 1953. He died Feb. 21, 1999.
She was employed at the White Store until her retirement.

Survivors include three sons, Jay Jr. (Carol), Oshkosh, Stephen (Beverly Landry), De Pere, and Karl, Lawrence, Kan.; three daughters, Ellen Janssen and Jennifer Child, both of De Pere, and Jill (Mike) Slechta, Wrightstown; and 13 grandchildren.
