Plover approves plats for two smaller subdivisions

The Plover Village Board and its Plan Commission approved the final plats of two subdivisions this week.

The approval went to 17-lot Fairfield Heights II Subdivision, southeast of River Road and Coolidge Avenue, and the 11-lot Bridlewood III Subdivision between Saddlewood and Haga drives, east of Wilson Avenue.

Other commission action the board approved were a site plan for Novotny Construction to build a duplex at 1520/1522 Brenda Ave. and a variance for an additional sign at Anchor Bank, 2558 Post Road, Plover.

Commission member Dorothy Rosenbaum said she would like to see some trees on both sides of the duplex lot as a buffer zone. The site plan showed trees on only one side, and Richard Holden, village development director, said that complies with the village code, which isn't specific where the trees should be placed as buffer. He said he will talk with the builder about the buffer.

The bank sign at the Cedar Post mall is an awning to identify the pedestrian entrance to the bank in an alcove, away from a drive-up window.
