Boy Scout Troop 292 is looking for a new Scoutmaster.
Affiliated with Frame Memorial Church on Main Street in Stevens Point, the candidate sought should be a high-energy individual who relates well to boys ages 10 to 18. Leadership, the ability to organize and plan, and a love of the outdoors are traits sought for this position. Applicants need not have a son in the troop nor have been a Boy Scout themselves.
Primary duties include attending troop meetings and outings, training boy leaders to run their troop, working with a Parent Troop Committee, assisting boys in planning troop programs and promoting rank advancement.
Troop 292 is a small troop with 10-15 boys who try to plan one weekend outdoor activity per month. Meetings are on Mondays at Frame Memorial Church from 6:30-8 p.m.
Attendance at one week of summer camp is desirable but not mandatory.
