Gazette will begin charging for copies with Sept. 17 issue
Starting with the Sept. 17 issue, The Portage County Gazette will cost 50 cents at various outlets, many of them
locations where readers have been picking up complimentary copies of The Gazette since its July 2 debut.
"Readers have had the opportunity for nearly three months to sample The Gazette and see the focus of this
locally-owned newspaper," said The Gazette publisher Peter Leahy.
The Gazette has been offering an introductory subscription for 13 months for $25 and will continue to offer that
subscription rate through the end of September. Subscribers receive their weekly copies in the mail.
Subscriptions can be sent to The Portage County Gazette, P.O. Box 146, Stevens Point, WI 54481. Subscriptions can
also be taken in-person at The Gazette office, located at 2182 Strongs Avenue in Stevens Point.
A special student subscription for the school year is also available for $20.
The Portage County Gazette is published weekly by the locally-owned Gazette Publishing, Inc. |
