Trick-or-treat will be observed from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, in most Portage County communities.
Those communities include Amherst, Amherst Junction, town of Dewey, town of Hull, Junction City, Park Ridge, Plover, Rosholt, Stevens Point and Whiting.
Plainfield will hold its hours from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Almond and Bancroft hold Halloween parties instead of trick-or-treating. Almond's will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday for preschoolers through fifth-graders in the old gymnasium of the Almond School, sponsored by the Almond Lions Club.
Bancroft's will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday for preschoolers through sixth-graders at the American Legion Club in Bancroft.
