Traffic switches on Hoover

The Wisconsin State Department of Transportation has switched traffic on Hoover Avenue between Maple Drive and Cedar Drive in the village of Plover from the northbound lanes to the newly constructed southbound lanes.

"Motorists are advised to drive with caution and observe the 25 mph speed limit inside the work zone," said Shannon Riley, state DOT project manager.

DOT crews are currently reconstructing Hoover Avenue between Maple and Cedar drives from a two-lane to a four-lane roadway. The project also includes the addition of turn lanes and a new railroad crossing to facilitate the proposed four-lane cross section.

The project is scheduled to be completed in November.
