Amherst Western Days, featuring the Tomorrow River Lions Little Britches Rodeo will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 21 and 22, at the Amherst Fairgrounds in Amherst.
Rodeo events begin at 1 p.m. both days featuring boys and girls ages 6 to 18 in events that include goat tying, calf roping, bull riding, barrel racing and saddle bronc for boys and goat tying, pole bending, barrel racing and calf roping for girls.
A pig roast will be held, beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The band Prototype will perform for a dance on Saturday night from 8 p.m. to midnight in the beer garden.
Tickets are $2 in advance and $3 at the gate. Portions of the proceeds go to Amherst Area First Responders.
