G-P announces two appointments

PORT EDWARDS - Georgia-Pacific Corporation announces two appointments to its Wisconsin operations.

Richard Rowe has been named paper machines maintenance planner for the Nekoosa maintenance department. Rowe joined the company in 1967 as a feed water operator in the Nekoosa power department. In 1970, he joined the maintenance department as a millwright apprentice.

Four years later, Rowe earned millwright journeyman status, becoming a senior journeyman in 1980. He has served as a safety officer for six years and a relief maintenance supervisor and planner for six years. Prior to joining G-P, Rowe served in the U.S. Navy for four years as an electrician.

Rowe holds a millwright journeyman certificate from Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids.

He and his wife, Linda, live in Nekoosa. They have one son.

Craig Gildenzopf has been promoted to technical assistant in the Nekoosa paper machines department. Gildenzopf joined the company in 1975 as a fifth hand in the paper machines department. He went on to hold the positions of fourth hand, third hand, back tender and machine tender.

In 1990, he became a tour supervisor. Prior to joining Georgia-Pacific, Gildenzopf worked for 3M in Nekoosa as a roll wrapper.
Gildenzopf and his wife, Kristin, live in Port Edwards.
