Plan Commission
The village of Amherst Plan Commission at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, in
the Village Hall, 161 Mill St.
Items on the agenda include Highway 10 bypass planning with Walt Raith of East Central Planning Commission, definition
section of zoning ordinance revision and TIF district discussion.
Amherst Village Board
The Amherst Village Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, in the Village Hall, 161 Mill St.
Items on the agenda include presentation of bills; persons wishing to address the board; treasurer's attendance
at conference on Sept. 22-24; Plan Commission report on final draft of zoning ordinance revisions, Highway 10 bypass
planning, apartments on ground floor on Main Street, annexation and TIF district; Utility Committee report on wastewater
treatment fund equipment and systems operations; Finance Committee report; Safety Committee report; Personnel Committee
report to set 2000 wages; Administrative Committee report on tax bill information; Public Works Committee report
on dam fence, dam lease, railroad property and Jungers Street ownership; executive session about 8 p.m. to confer
with legal counsel with respect to litigation in which the village is or may become involved in.
Town of Dewey Land
Use Planning Committee
The Town of Dewey Land Use Planning Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday,
Aug. 25, in the Dewey Town Hall.
Items on the agenda include review/take action on open space and rural landscape preservation section of the land
use plan and review/take action on final draft of land use plan and final land use plan map.
Portage County
Legislative Committee
The Portage County Legislative Committee will hold a joint Legislative
Committee with Wood, Lincoln and Marathon counties at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, in the basement meeting room of Central
Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee.
Items on the agenda include discussion/action on 1999 Wisconsin Counties Association Convention resolutions.
Portage County Land
Conservation Committee
The Portage County Land Conservation Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday,
Aug. 23, in conference room 2 of the Courthouse Annex.
Items on the agenda include presentation of the Portage County Land and Water Resource Management Plan for review
and comment.
Portage County
Personnel Committee
The Portage County Personnel Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug.
23, in conference room 3 of the Courthouse Annex.
Items on the agenda include discussion and possible action on refilling position requests of library circulation
aides for 12 hours at the Plover branch and 12 and 20 hours at the Charles M. White building; discussion and possible
action regarding Health and Human Services Department proposed section reorganization for a nurse; and closed session
about 4:10 p.m. to discuss a settlement offer, the Sue Dimka grievance arbitration and status of labor negotiations
on library Sunday hours and parks.
The committee will reconvene in open session about 4:20 p.m. for possible action on the closed session matters.
Portage County Personnel
and Finance committees
The Portage County Personnel and Finance committees will meet in joint
session at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, in conference room 1 of the Courthouse Annex.
Items on the agenda include a closed session to discuss an increased projection on the health insurance update,
premium increases for disability and life insurances, health insurance flex benefits administrative contract fees,
administrative contract fees, non-represented/union/elected officials compensation update, Wisconsin retirement
rates and worker's compensation rate approval.
The committees will return to open session about 5:30 p.m. for discussion and possible action on 2000 budget guidelines.
Stevens Point Urban Area
Deer Management Committee
The Stevens Point Urban Area Deer Management Committee will meet at 4 p.m.
Tuesday at the Whiting Municipal Center.
The agenda includes updates from participating city, village and town representatives; discussion on results of
Whiting's resident questionnaire; review of status of city and village "no feeding" ordinance; and discussion
regarding "next step." |
