NEW CHIEF DEPUTY CORONER NAMED: Tracey
Kujawa has been named chief deputy coroner, said Portage County Coroner Scott Rifleman. Kujawa has served as a
deputy coroner since June of 1995. She is trained as a paramedic and medical legal death investigator. She is employed
full time as a paramedic/firefighter with the Stevens Point Fire Department.
Kujawa replaces Michael Spencer, who has retired as chief deputy. Spencer has served
as chief deputy since 1980. He will continue working as a captain with the Stevens Point Fire Department.
In other changes in the Coroner's Office, Jodi Baganz has retired as deputy coroner.
Armando Ramon has been appointed deputy coroner. Ramon is trained as a paramedic and serves as a corpsman-medic
with the Naval Reserve in Green Bay. He is employed full time with the Portage County Sheriff's Department as a
corrections officer in the county jail. He also volunteers as a Plover First Responder.

TAX FORMS AVAILABLE AT LIBRARY: Federal
and Wisconsin income tax forms are now available at the Portage County Public Library.
The most commonly used federal forms are stocked, while less common forms may be photocopied at the Charles M.
White Public Library in Stevens Point or the Plover, Almond and Rosholt branches from a master tax form notebook
sent to libraries by the Internal Revenue Service.
The most common Wisconsin state tax forms will be available at the branches and
the White library. Less common state forms may be photocopied from the Wisconsin master tax form notebook at the
White library.
Librarians are not tax experts but can direct people to helpful tax aids, which
include numerous IRS publications and other tax manuals. These items will be found on the tables with the stocked
tax forms.

PORTAGE COUNTY BUILDING PERMITS: The
Portage County Planning and Zoning Department issued buildings permits for a $100,000 agricultural structure in
the town of Buena Vista and two single family residences. The residences are for $140,000 in the town of Buena
Vista and $120,000 in the town of Grant.

STEVENS POINT BUILDING PERMITS: Stevens
Point issued two building permits for new construction in December, for industrial construction by Velcorp at 5501
E.M.Copps Drive for $402,540 and for a single family residence at 5548 Glenwood Ave. for $150,000.

PLOVER BUILDING REPORTS: The village
of Plover issued three building permits for new single family residences in December. The value of the houses and
their location are $211,000 at 4011 Poplar Ave., $170,000 at 1981 Ashford Drive and $156,000 at 901 Chandler Ave.
