Business Council sponsors 1999 Community Beautification Program

The Portage County Business Council, Egle Landscaping and Rettler Corp. will sponsor the 1999 Community Beautification Program as part of MORNING NEWS on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Portage County Business Council, 5501 Vern Holmes Drive.

The program will start at 7:30 a.m. and include a breakfast buffet.
Rick Rettler, president of Rettler Corp., and Chuck Egle, owner of Egle Landscaping, will present information on future landscaping trends and design programming in central Wisconsin.

The 1999 Community Beatification Awards are sponsored by the Community Image Enhancement Committee and will be awarded to companies and individuals who have exceeded the landscaping requirements of the ordinances of Portage County. The purpose of the awards is to foster and promote the attractiveness of Portage County.

The Community Image Enhancement Committee is a committee of the Portage County Business Council whose mission to promote and coordinate efforts to create an urban environment which is aesthetically attractive and creates a positive image for Portage County communities.

MORNING NEWS is an event that provides educational and professional development opportunities to Business Council members and the communities in Portage County.

The event is open to the public. Reservations can be made by calling the Business Council at 344-1940. Advanced reservations are $10 for Business Council members, $15 for Business Council members at the door and $20 for non-members.

The Portage County Business Council works with local businesses, governments, and area school districts to strengthen Portage County's business climate and promote economic growth and development while enhancing the quality of life in Central Wisconsin.
