YMCA hosts ski swap Saturday
Area ski and winter sports enthusiasts are invited to participate in the 26th annual
YMCA Central Wisconsin Ski Swap Saturday, Nov. 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the YMCA All Purpose Room.
"The YMCA Ski swap is a very economical way for people to obtain new or used equipment, while supporting programs
for youth in the process," said Pete Matthai, event coordinator.
Skiers have the opportunity to buy and sell a wide variety of new and used winter sports equipment, including downhill
and cross country skis, poles, bindings, boots, ice skates, snowboards and in-line skates.
People interested in selling equipment should check in at the YMCA between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sellers name their
own price and will receive 85 percent of the sale, with 15 percent going toward YMCA youth and teen programs.
The Stevens Point Area YMCA is sponsoring this community event, along with the Hostel Shoppe, One Stop Sport Shop
and Play It Again Sports. The swap is usually one of the largest events of its kind in central Wisconsin.
