Conservatory for Creative Expression begins classes
The Conservatory for Creative Expression at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is now accepting registrations
for spring classes and private music lessons.
New offerings include "Introduction to Printmaking" for ages 9-11 and "World of Dance" for
ages 7-11. The printmaking class will introduce young artists to various printing techniques and allow them to
make their own books, while the dance class explores dance styles from counties such as Latin America, Ireland
and Africa.
Other dance classes for children include "Beginning Movement: Music and Motion" for 3-year-olds, "Beginning
Movement: Little Jazzers" for ages 4-6, and "Introduction to Dance" for more experienced students
ages 4-6.
Space also is available in the following adult classes: "Beginning Photography" with a single lens reflex
camera, "Spring Poetry Circle," and "The Next Step in Ballroom Dance," an advanced class with
instructor Lenore Haferman.
The conservatory also offers private music instruction in piano, voice, and all woodwind, brass, string and percussion
instruments for students of all ages and abilities. Some classes start January 20 and are taught by conservatory
faculty or UW-SP students.
