February club meeting minutes

Casimer Boosters 4-H Club

The Casimer Booster 4-H Club met on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at St. Casimir CCD Center.

Mitchell and Pam Paulus talked about the annual 4-H Nordic Mountain Ski Day and 4-H Skate Day. The new yearly calendar was distributed and discussed.

Two new members were introduced. New club dues were set at $4. The St. Casimir Ponczka Dance is Feb. 21. A donation of $20 will be used for door prizes.

The next meeting is Tuesday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the St. Casimir CCD Center. The Lassas will have treats, and every member is encouraged to wear green for a St. Patrick's Day theme.

Pat Mrozinski then talked about record books and the upcoming year's project information. A craft project and treats followed the meeting.

Eager Eagles 4-H Club

The Eager Eagles 4-H club met on Feb. 9, at the Stockton Town Hall.

The 4-H Speaking contest, youth protection program and summer camp were discussed in the leader's report.
During New Business, the club decided to hold a bowling party at Point Bowl, on Monday, Feb. 23. Rachel Ford volunteered to reserve bowling lanes for the club.

The Eager Eagles discussed having a club sledding party at Iverson's Park - Mrs. Ford volunteered to find information on this, and the club members decided to set a date through e-mail.

The March meeting's health project was discussed.

The club set a date for the upcoming fair booth and talent show committee.

After the meeting, the club made Valentines for the elderly, brought in blankets for the First Responders and held the county project committee, led by chairman Danny Ozsvath.

Tomorrow River Voyagers

The Tomorrow River Voyagers 4-H Club met Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Lettie Jensen Center in Amherst.

Members discussed possibilities for the 4-H Fair booth. Katie Rutz and Vince Platten made a motion to go swimming at the Iola Fitness Center for the next meeting. Members planned to have a short meeting followed by swimming and refreshments.

The club made bookmarks and shopping bags for Child Abuse Awareness Week.

Katie Brown did a demonstration on how to finger knit.

The club will have a swine project meeting on Sunday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at Dr. Barbara Kasprowicz and Ted Lein's farm in Almond.
