The Portage County Gazette was a weekly newspaper that started on July 17, 1878, but merged with another local paper in 1923 after the death of its founder, Edward D. Glennon. Now The Gazette returns as a weekly newspaper, providing stories about your neighbors, local government, schools, sports, organizations and other topics of local interest. The Portage County Gazette is locally owned and features stories by local writers who are your neighbors.
