A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Plover, with hospice chaplain JoAnn Chase officiating. Full military honors will follow the service.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Friday until the service.

Mr. Ziaya was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Andrew and Esther (Rybarczyk) Ziaya.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He entered the service Nov. 29, 1965, in Milwaukee. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service in Republic of Vietnam and the Marksman Badge. He was honorably discharged Nov. 27, 1968.
He was married to Gloria Szablewski Aug. 8, 1966, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
He worked in the Stevens Point area for the Stevens Point Brewery, starting in 1969 and worked there until his retirement in 2004.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tina (Rick) Gwidt, Stevens Point, and Sherry Brown, Plover; one son, John (Cara), Appleton; two brothers, Larry (Loretta), Hancock, and Ray (Dawn), Stevens Point; two sisters, Patricia (Donald) Schroeder, Rosholt, and Linda (Roy) Taubitz, Bancroft; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Peper; and two brothers, Andrew “Ike” Ziaya and Jerome Ziaya.
