Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev John Steiner and Rev. William Menzel officiating.
Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, and at church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the Mass. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be designated to St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Mrs. Mayer was born Oct. 22, 1927, in the town of Carson in Portage County, a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Zimmerman) Breit.
She was married to Harvey Mayer Aug. 23, 1947, in Junction City.
She was a homemaker, mother and babysitter. She suffered with kidney disease most of her life.
She was a charter member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, a member of the St. Vincent Women’s Club, a Girl Scout leader, took Communion to the homebound and served funeral dinners for many years.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 67 years, Harvey Mayer; one son, Jerome (Debby) Mayer, Plover; three daughters, Colleen (Mike) Spencer, Plover, Laurie Broga, Wisconsin Rapids, and Karen (Dan) Anderson, Holmen; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth, Eleanor and Olive; and five brothers, Jack, David, Raymond and twins Norbert and Norman.
