Wayne J. “W.J.” Crueger, 77, Stevens Point died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. He was injured in a motorcycle accident in Stevens Point Thursday, Aug. 7.
A time of sharing memories will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Club 10, Highway HH, town of Carson. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Mr. Crueger was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Wausau, a son of the late Wilbur and Flora (Costa) Crueger. He moved with his family to Stevens Point in 1943 and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He entered the U.S. Navy April 5, 1955, in Great Lakes, Ill. He served in the Western Pacific, Japan, Hong Kong, Hawaii and California. He was honorably discharged March 11, 1959.
He returned to Stevens Point for a short time, then moved to Milwaukee and worked at Allen Bradley and American Motors before returning to Stevens Point.
He was married to Jeanie Mae “Minnie” VanWormer April 23, 1960. The couple raised five children and later divorced. She died in 1989.
He began his career at the railroad in 1961 with the Soo Line. He retired as a conductor with Canadian Pacific Railway in 1995.
Survivors include three daughters, Renee (Steve) Smith, Lori Fahrner and Michelle (Jack) Szymkowiak; two sons, David (Suzanne) Crueger and Dean (Amy) Crueger; two sisters, Delores Kolinski and Dawn Zamzow; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
