A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Amy Chapel, E9882 370th Ave., Eau Claire, with Pastor Kemper officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Elk Mound.
Visitation will be at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home in Eau Claire from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 31, and at the church from noon Friday until the service.

Mr. Bergquist was born April 7, 1938, in Midale, Saskatchewan, Canada, a son of the late Alvin and Marion Bergquist. He grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan, and spent his summers working on his Uncle Bill’s farm in Midale. As a teen, he used his bicycle to make deliveries for Jolly Drugs.
At 18, he joined the Canadian National Railroad and worked there for two years. After that, he worked in a nickel mine in northern Canada. From there, he moved to Chicago, where he worked for Roseland Buick and met his wife, Augusta.
In 1974, he moved his family to the Eau Claire area, where he worked at Markquardt’s Chevrolet until he retired at 65. He and his wife raised six children and remained lifelong friends following their divorce.
Survivors include two sons, Brian (Jill) Bergquist, Stevens Point, and Kirk (Amie) Bergquist; four daughters, Kellee (Brent) Koehler, Wendi, Pamela (Richard) Carreras and Dianna (Chad) Ryder; four sisters, Barbara (Jim), Peggy (Wayne), Judith (Terry) and Nancy (Chuck); nine grandchildren; and his former wife, Augusta.
