Mrs. Walker was born June 16, 1923, in Kalamazoo, Mich., a daughter of the late Sterling and Doris (Houseknecht) Miller. She attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
She was married to Donald H. Walker Dec. 25, 1944, in Kalamazoo, Mich. He died May 30, 2002.
They settled in Stevens Point after World War II.
After her husband became ill, she became an interior decorator in Stevens Point and Brownsville, Texas, and then a Realtor for many years in Stevens Point.
She was active in her church, an avid knitter and seamstress, bridge player, volunteer docent and board member of the South Florida Museum.
Following retirement, she and her husband relocated to Bradenton, Fla., where she remained until moving to northern Wisconsin in 2011.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Ann (Art) Walker Somers, Arbor Vitae; two grandchildren, Timothy (Sarah Tiede) Somers, Stevens Point, and Harry Hendrix, Yuba City, Calif.; and one great-grandson, Andrew Hendrix, Yuba City, Calif.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Miller.
