A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 20, at Peace United Church of Christ in Stevens Point, with the Rev. L. Scott Crandall officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the town of Grand Rapids in Portage County.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the service.

Mrs. Karl was born Dec. 9, 1932, in Neillsville, a daughter of the late John and Nellie (Bryan) Roder. She grew up in Waukesha, attended local grade schools and Central High School.
She was married to Walter Karl July 31, 1949, in Waukesha. He died Jan. 24, 2012.
They later moved to the Stevens Point area, where they bought land and began a farm. During this time, she devoted her life to raising a family.
They moved back to Waukesha for a short time and later returned to the Stevens Point area, where they built a home on their farmland.
After her children had grown, she graduated from Mid-State Technical School and became employed at Sentry Insurance as a secretary, working there for about 10 years before retiring.
She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, John (Linda), Wisconsin Rapids, Martin (Kathleen), and Don (Charlene), Stevens Point; three daughters, Suzanne Karl, King, Kathy (Dennis) Albert, Junction City, and Lorraine (Ron) Holzem, Longmont, Colo.; one brother, John Roder, Waukesha; two sisters, Jeannine Prager, Waukesha, and Ruthann Rodock, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Jeffrey; and three siblings, Winnie, Wally and Janett.
