The amount of over-the-air advertising per hour has jumped to 14 minutes and 15 seconds per hour, according to a study from Nielsen, the ratings service. Just five years ago, it was 13 minutes and 25 seconds.
It’s even more for cable TV. Ad content went from 14 minutes 27 seconds to 15 minutes and 38 seconds per hour.
To make matters worse, we’re seeing more commercials crammed into those times.
