A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Jude Dioka officiating. Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Portage County Humane Society.

Mrs. Hintz was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Ashland, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Olive (Paine) Turner. As an infant she moved to Wauwatosa, Wis., and then to Stevens Point where she attended the grade schools. In 1942, she graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
During World War II she worked for O.S.S. in Washington, D.C., returning to Stevens Point in 1945.
She was married to Vincent A. Ryskoski Jan. 11, 1947. He preceded her in death June 3, 1973.
She was married to Irving Hintz Oct. 15, 1977, at St. Stephen Church in Stevens Point. He died Oct. 10, 2002.
She worked for Sentry Insurance for 34 years while making a home for the Ryskoski children and later the Hintz children.
She was active in her church and was an active volunteer at various community organizations for many years. As a member of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) she went to schools and county fairs demonstrating how to churn butter or make ice cream.
Through the Portage County Humane Society’s Pet Therapy Program, she took animals to visit at the County Home. She also helped local school children to become better readers.
Survivors include one son, George (Joyce) Burgess, Baraboo; one grandson, Wayne (Jodi) Burgess; one great-granddaughter, Jenna, Lodi; seven stepchildren, Claudine Gotter, Eau Claire, Norman (Janice) Ryskoski, Green Bay, Robert (Carol) Ryskoski, Sheboygan, Mary (Bob) Patoka, Amherst Junction, John (Jennifer) Hintz, Plymouth, Donna (Mike) Aschenbrenner, Custer, and Paul (Erin) Hintz, Stevens Point; one niece, Sandra Mortensen, Baraboo; 29 stepgrandchildren; 36 great-stepgrandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Inez Smith; one niece, Susan O’Donnell; one stepson, Harold Ryskoski; one granddaughter, Jamie Sue Burgess; and two stepsons, Carl Ryskoski and Donald Ryskoski.
