Robert L. “Bob” Nogle, 93, Plainfield, a retired longtime Tri-County High School teacher, died Saturday, May 10, 2014.
There will be no funeral or service, per his wishes. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Mr. Nogle was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Buffalo County, a son of the late Lewis S. and Amalia (Rasmus) Nogle. He was educated in Eau Claire.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army in October 1940 as a member of Machine Gun Troop, 105th Cavalry, 32nd Division, Wisconsin National Guard, and served five years. In 1943, as a member of the 173rd Field Artillery, he became a part of the 5th Army.
He came to Plainfield in 1951 to become part of the Tri-County High School faculty as an industrial arts, science, driver education and mathematics teacher. He taught those subjects during a 34-year period.
He is a perpetual member of Masonic Lodge 148, a member since 1965. He was also an active life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 608 and a member of the American Legion for 58 years.
He was a member of Plainfield Advancement and a member of the Plainfield Lions Club. He held offices of president, treasurer and 11 years as secretary.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Adrian and Marshall; and two sisters, Margaret Broten and Joyce Peterson.
