Paul E. Swenson, 92, Granville, Ohio, a former Stevens Point resident, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Kendal at Granville in Granville, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at First Presbyterian Church in Granville, Ohio, with the Rev. Karen J. Chakoian officiating.

Mr. Swenson was born June 25, 1921, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of the late Arthur V. and Clara (White) Swenson. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1939.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a bombsight maintenance officer with the Mighty 8th, a B24 Bomb Group.
He was married to Lois L. Lynn of Stevens Point June 17, 1943, in Alamogordo, N.M. She died Aug. 15, 2008.
Upon his return home, he received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in business administration in marketing, from Case Western Reserve University.
His career in the steel industry included employment with Cutler Hammer, Republic Steel, as purchasing manager, and vice president of Keystone Metals. He resided in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Steamboat Springs.
Upon his retirement he moved to Granville, Ohio.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Kiwanis Club of Granville and was involved with the library.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Swenson Morris and Jane (Michael) Swenson Wine; one son, Robert (Dianna) Swenson; one sister, Arvada; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three siblings.
