Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. James Douglas officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum.
Visitation will be at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services.
Memorials may be designated to the Dempze Family Scholarship Fund through Incourage Community Foundation or to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Cheerful Givers Fund.

Mr. Dempze was born July 19, 1943, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Gordon and Iris (Ayres) Dempze.
He was married to Susie “Marlene” Eichhorn Dec. 30, 1967, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He was the third generation owner and operator of Dempze Cranberry Co. in the village of Biron and Tamarack Flowage Cranberry Company in Three Lakes.
He was an active and longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Susie “Marlene”; one daughter, Jamie (Rocky) Biegel, Wisconsin Rapids; one son-in-law, Shane Dupuis, Three Lakes; two brothers, Wayne (Jeanne), Wisconsin Rapids, and Gary (Susan), Rudolph; one sister, Nancy (Dan Bailey) Dempze, Boston, Mass.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Dupuis.
