A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at St Wenceslaus Church in Milladore, with the Rev. John Ofori-Domah officiating. Committal services and burial will be at the Runkel Cemetery in the town of Eau Pleine, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 468 of Milladore.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.
A memorial will be established in his name at a later date at the Friends of the Mead Wildlife Center.

Mr. Furo was born June 2, 1934, in the town of Eau Pleine, a son of Gladys (Wolfe) Furo and the late Emil Furo. He attended Auburndale High School, graduating in 1953.
He then entered the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. He received an honorable discharge in 1956.
He was married to his high school sweetheart, Marlene Fruin, Jan. 26, 1957. They recently celebrated their 57th anniversary.
He was a member of Milladore American Legion Post 468 and a previous member of the Milladore Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; eight children, Karen (Joe Bonnstetter), Theresa (Mark Hamus), Rhonda (Merlyn Reigel), Ronald, Kim (Brian Simcakoski), Tom (Amy), LeeAnne (Philip Pesanka) and John; his mother, Gladys Furo; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, George; and one sister, Carolyn Stoflet.
