I think it might be time to review the idea of good manners again. Last week I was at the public library downtown picking up some books. While checking out at the main desk in the lobby area, it was difficult not to notice a gentleman on his cellphone having a very loud conversation about an apartment.
I wasn’t eavesdropping. I was about 20 feet away and could hear his conversation quite clearly. He was actually louder than the two librarians that were helping people at the desk. He was sitting back in a comfortable chair in the center of the lobby and clearly wasn’t trying to make the call short for the sake of the patrons around him.
