Theresa Mary Zinda, 85, Waupaca, a former longtime Portage County resident, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Burial will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King at a later date.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the services.

Mrs. Zinda was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Walter and Rosalia Rutkowski. She graduated from South Division High School Jan. 25, 1946.
She was married to Chester A. Zinda Nov. 23, 1950, in Milwaukee. He died in October 2010.
In 1959 she and her husband left Milwaukee and bought a dairy farm in the Stevens Point area. The house and all possessions were lost in a fire in 1960.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine Hubert, Waupaca, Kathleen (Dan) O’Neil, Madison, and Karen (Bob) Yip, Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Chad (Nancy), St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Henry Rutkowski, Milwaukee; one sister, Elizabeth Rutkowski, Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine and Martha; and three brothers, Anthony, Stanley and Aloysius “Ollie.”
