A celebration of life will be held at the Grotto Shrine Aug. 31, 2014, in Rudolph, with the Rev. Paul Plowman officiating.

Mr. Fischer was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of the late Carl Immanuel and Flora (Lee) Fischer.
He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 1, 1951, to Jan. 29, 1953, on active duty and from Jan. 30, 1953, to Nov. 6, 1956, in the Army Reserve.
He was married to Beverly Ann Truman July 5, 1958, in the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
He was a truck driver for Gross-Common Carriers for 40 years.
During his younger years his parents owned and operated Treasure Attic Antiques in Wisconsin Rapids. He carried on his parents’ passion for antiques with his wife at their own store, Fischer’s Antiques in Rudolph.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; three sons, Scott and Mark, both of Rudolph, and Joseph (Sara), Plover; two daughters, Robin (Paul) Plowman, Tomah, and Penny Fischer-Hahn, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Gloria (Marvin) Bocaner and Pam (Greg) Nettesheim, both of Wisconsin Rapids; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by one son, John; and one sister, Geneva Becker.
